Happy 50th Birthday: Kate Bush

A mere two or so weeks sooner than another female musical icon celebrates her 50th birthday, the seemingly-ageless creative genius that is Kate Bush celebrates hers.

I really only got into her music a couple of years ago - a short time before the release of her latest album in 2005, the majestic, Brit-nominated Aerial. It's an amazing album, possibly eclipsed only by her debut The Kick Inside, which contains some of the best written songs I've ever encountered.

Here are two clips. The first is where it all began: her debut TV performance, in which she performs Kite and her famous Bronte-inspired Wuthering Heights. The second is a performance of my favourite track in her vast collection, the beautiful, mysterious Man With The Child In His Eyes, which she wrote aged just 13 (!!).
