I think I'm more on Capote's side.

I'm starting to realize that King's Speech might be my least favorite BP of the past 10 years, even if I don't dislike it that much.Alex Constantinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09940311552608814201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14184018.post-27607438699042897362011-03-02T13:11:17.645+00:002011-03-02T13:11:17.645+00:00Ah yes, the Leo! Generally, the acting winners are great.

I preferred Libatique's work to Pfister's slightly, but that was definitely one of the highlights of the evening.

And yes, I mean "Crash."

Also realised I forgot to mention Kirk Douglas presenting Best Supporting Actress, which went on far too long. The Bette Davis '86 Actor presentation was as incompetent, but plain hilarious as things go. This felt a bit awkward.Calum Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05410595002533524268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14184018.post-4473561158842283172011-03-02T12:14:31.700+00:002011-03-02T12:14:31.700+00:00yes, it was bad, I also wrote a bit about it. You ...yes, it was bad, I also wrote a bit about it. You didn't mention Melissa Leo, I'm curious what you thought of that messy moment. :) I thought the writing & directing of the show were as bad as possible. The only more embarassing stuff they could've done was giving some awards from the back of the room, like they did for the 2005 ceremony I think :)) remember? that was ridiculous, with a small podium in the audience.

Best Speech: Christian Bale did fine, I thought.

Worst Speech: Coleen Atwood. ridiculous, for a 3rd time winner. And of course the mess of them all: M. Leo

Most Satisfying Victory: Wally Pfister, for me.

Least Satisfying Victory: Hooper or Randy Newman, even though Newman had a good speech.

"With the possible exception of 2005" you mean Crash, and not MDB, right?! :)Alex Constantinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09940311552608814201noreply@blogger.com
